Rodney Mesriani(owner) from Mesriani Law Group called us to manufacture and install an electrical sign for his new office on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. He wanted reverse channel letters for this sign project. He gave us the artwork for the font style and design. He specifically wanted the color to be black. Here is some more information on our Electrical Signs Los Angeles.
We encountered an installation problem on the building because we could not drill each letter into wall one by one because there was no access to the wires on the other side of wall. Therefore, we had to use a raceway( a piece of metal to mount the letters and hide the transformer inside). In this case, we used a brush aluminum box to make it look like a sign cabinet, while achieving two objectives; the first one, to mount the letters on the cabinet, the second was to put the transformer inside the cabinet, yet making the sign look attractive and appealing. The depth of the brush aluminum sign cabinet(raceway) is three inches. The lighting for the reverse channel letters is internally illuminated LED. Here is some pictures of our Los Angeles Electrical Signs for back lit channel letters.
We assembled the raceway by mounting the letters on top with the LED's being inside the channel of each letter at the sign shop. This made the installation easier at the site. The junction box was already installed on the building. After we finished installing the sign, we connected the sign to the junction box to complete the job. Once, we finished installing the sign we tested to make sure it would light up at night. We use a photocell( light sensor on the sign) to have the sign light up at night, instead of a timer.
